Loreto College sports hall
A secondary school sports hall upgraded with SEAI funding through the Community Energy Grant. Gas heating was removed completely, and verified savings came to 144,738 kWh per year, 130% of the SEAI target.

Killeedy Community Centre, Co. Limerick
Full refurbishment with energy upgrades:
- Rockwool external wall insulation
- Floor insulation with underfloor heating
- Attic insulation
- Air-to-water heat pump
- New windows and doors

The Cottage Co-Op Café
A community café project delivered by EcoVision (Energy Communities Tipperary Co-operative), with Carrig Energy as project coordinator. SEAI funded 30% of the cost through the Community Energy Grant.
8 kW of solar PV was installed on the roof, with 14 panels facing south and 12 facing west. The electricity offsets the café’s heating and cooking costs, and the savings go towards staffing.
Because the Cottage gets visitors from all over Tipperary and beyond, the panels have also raised interest in energy projects in the community and neighbouring parishes.

McCarthys Eurospar, Kilkenny
Newpark Shopping Centre, Kilkenny:
- Energy-efficient refrigeration
- Air-to-air heat pump
- Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery

Duggans Veterinary Services, Thurles
Stradavoher Retail Park, Thurles, Co. Tipperary:

- LED lighting
